ANDREA WILKIN

Painting

Andrea Wilkin is a practicing artist in Montreal. She recently graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with considerable attention to painting and drawing. She also achieved a Specialization in Art Education, obtaining her teacher's license. She now works full time as an artist at a studio space downtown, Montreal, while exploring her own thematics as well as subject matter proposed by clients.

Her main medium is oil paint on canvas, usually ranging in size from 2x4 ft to 5x7 ft. Over the years, her main focal points have involved figurative work (human figures), often set upon scenes of nature, and conceptual space or backdrops of fabric. Her thematic is most often conceptual and inspired from a place of introspection and interpretation of her own internalized experiences — in hopes of her audience finding their own personal connections with them.
